CARQUEST The Parts Place started as Holt Auto Supply Inc. in November of 1963. Coming from the service station business, Dewey and Frank Seehase (son and father), opened their store in Holt MI on November 15th. Soon after, they had opportunities to open their first branch in Williamston MI. The opportunity came about to open a machine shop in Holt. Frank (father) ran the machine shop while Dewey took care of the stores. The business quickly grew to five stores.

In 1976 the serving warehouse (Parts Warehouse Inc.) joined the Carquest group. Holt Auto supply, seeing the benefits of what CARQUEST had to offer, joined immediately and established a DBA of CARQUEST The Parts Place.

In 1996 Dewey sold the business to his sons Dick and Dave along with long time employee Larry Meirndorf and sister Cindy. This created a 3rd generation family business that is thriving today with eight stores, a machine shop and a repair facility.

CARQUEST The Parts Place prides itself with longevity of management staff and employees. The entire team brings years of knowledge and experience to and for their customers.
